The trouble with living in the Information Age is paradoxical: There's too much information. It's everywhere. How are you supposed to keep track of all the news, sports, weather and blogs you follow? Better yet, how are you going to do that and find time for work, school and family?
updates delivered to you. From Pollette, K. (n.d.) How RSS Works Retrieved from http://computer.howstuffworks.com/internet/basics/rss.htm
This sounds like a great idea! Instead of searching many different websites for news and such, you can pull your favorites together! Then again, sometimes we have a few too many websites that we look at for entertainment, news, etc....that would make one big favorite reader page! (It still sounds like a good idea.)
ReplyDeleteAgain, wow. I am learning so much about technology, my brain can't keep up. I was reading in my CTEC 104 book and it mentioned RSS. I don't think I would use this tool, my mind is trying to process what I am learning this quarter and I don't want to go to overload so I forget everything mode.
ReplyDeleteHi there,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this video and how it described it equivalent to the video store and netflix. I also liked how he showed the actual sites and helped you know what to look for in order to subscribe to a site. I think that RSS is a great idea for those who don't have the time for online reading, but still want to do it. Great video!
